Installation
MotionMaster 3D installs like any Blender add-on from a zip file, followed by four one-time setup steps in the add-on preferences: Visual C++ runtimes, Python dependencies, the Photogrammetry Importer and logging in with your account.
How to use it
- 1 Download the MotionMaster 3D zip from your order and keep it zipped.
- 2 In Blender, open Edit > Preferences > Add-ons, choose Install from Disk and select the zip.
- 3 Enable MotionMaster 3D and expand its preferences.
- 4 Run both Visual C++ runtime installers, install the Python dependencies, and install the Photogrammetry Importer.
- 5 Log in with the email and password from your purchase, then press N in the 3D Viewport to open the panels.
Installing the Add-on
Before you start
- • Windows with Blender 5.1 or newer (5.2 is supported).
- • An NVIDIA GPU with CUDA is strongly recommended for speed. The add-on also runs on CPU-only systems, more slowly.
- • The zip file from your order. Do not unzip it. You find it on your Lemon Squeezy order page (open the receipt email and click "View order") or on the Download page of this website while logged in.
Install from disk
In Blender, open Edit > Preferences > Add-ons, click the small dropdown arrow and choose Install from Disk. Select the MotionMaster 3D zip file and confirm. Search for "MotionMaster 3D" in the Add-ons list and enable it with the checkbox. Then expand the add-on preferences and follow the four setup steps below in order.
Step 1: Visual C++ runtimes
Click Open Runtime Installers. A folder opens with the Microsoft Visual C++ runtime installers that the processing tools (COLMAP, GLOMAP and OpenMVS) need. Run both:
- • VC_redist.x64.exe (64-bit)
- • VC_redist.x86.exe (32-bit)
If they are already installed, the installer says so and you can close it. If you skip this step on a machine without the runtimes, the processing tools fail to run.
Step 2: Python dependencies
The preferences list each required Python package (numpy, scipy, requests, cryptography) with its status. If any package shows as not installed, click Install Python Dependencies. When it finishes:
- • If you see "Dependencies installed successfully!" with a request to restart, save your work and restart Blender.
- • If you see "Addon is ready to use!", continue with the next step.
Step 3: Photogrammetry Importer
MotionMaster 3D uses the Photogrammetry Importer add-on to bring reconstruction data into Blender. Click Install Photogrammetry Importer for your Blender version. It installs and enables automatically, and the preferences then show "Installed and Enabled".
Step 4: Log in
At the bottom of the preferences, enter the email and password you used when you purchased and click Log In. Your email and license type appear, which confirms the add-on is activated. Each license can be active on up to 3 machines, and you can manage them from your Account page on this website.
The MotionMaster 3D panels now appear in the 3D Viewport sidebar (press N). Continue with your first camera track or the panel overview.
Updating to a new version
- In Preferences > Add-ons, disable MotionMaster 3D and click Remove.
- Delete any leftover MotionMaster 3D folder in
%APPDATA%\Blender Foundation\Blender\<version>\extensions\user_default. - Close Blender completely, open it again, and install the new zip with Install from Disk.
Seeing "The format of the obfuscated script is incorrect" or a DLL error? That almost always means an old copy was still installed or Blender was not restarted between removing and installing. Follow the update steps above exactly. If it still fails, open Window > Toggle System Console, repeat the step and send the error through Feedback & Support. More fixes are in the FAQ.
Technical notes
MotionMaster 3D supports Windows with Blender 5.1 or newer, including 5.2. An NVIDIA GPU with CUDA is strongly recommended; CPU-only systems work with longer processing times.
Each license can be active on up to 3 machines. Revoke old machines and register new ones from the Account page on this website.
