Quick Tracking

Quick Tracking is the fast realtime tracking mode. It is best for rapid previews, testing footage, and getting a practical sparse camera solve when the footage and camera intrinsics are suitable.

Workflow steps

  1. Prepare an image sequence.
  2. Enter or estimate focal length and camera parameters.
  3. Run forward tracking first.
  4. Use backward tracking and smart overlap to fill early frames when initialization needs time.
  5. Import the camera and sparse point cloud into Blender.

Important details

Quick Tracking depends more heavily on correct camera intrinsics than Heavy Tracking. Focal length, sensor width, resolution, optical center, and distortion values improve the result when known.

The realtime viewer shows tracking markers, camera preview, graph lines, keyframes, and sparse reconstruction feedback while the solve runs.
